Science & Art competition
2026

With this competition, the Nordic EMBL Partnership invites you to look at our research from a different perspective. While scientific images are often used to communicate data and discoveries, they can also inspire curiosity, capture the imagination, and reveal unexpected beauty.

We are inviting you to explore the science of the Partnership through an artistic lens by taking part in our Science and Art Competition. Whether your work captures striking microscopy, scientific photography, digital art, paintings, drawings, or another creative interpretation inspired by research, we want to see it.

Submit your original, unpublished artwork using the submission form by Thursday 3rd September 2026. Entries may include scientific images, photographs, paintings, drawings, or digital designs.

The winners will be announced at the Nordic EMBL Partnership Meeting in Umeå. Details of the voting process will be announced soon.
